Alpha Micro at Hardware Pioneers Max 26

Hardware Pioneers Max 2026 was another fantastic event, bringing together innovators, engineers, partners and customers from across the embedded and IoT industries. Over the two-day exhibition, our stand was packed with live demonstrations, exciting conversations and plenty of opportunities to showcase the latest technologies shaping the future of connected systems.

A Stand Full of Innovation

This year’s stand brought together technologies from some of our leading partners, giving visitors the chance to experience real-world applications in Edge AI, wireless connectivity and industrial IoT.

From smart agriculture and asset tracking to embedded vision and Bluetooth® LE, every demonstration was designed to show how these technologies can solve real-world challenges and accelerate innovation.

The response from attendees was incredibly positive, with many visitors stopping by to discuss their projects, ask technical questions and explore how these solutions could support their next design.

u-blox Takes Centre Stage

One of the standout attractions on the stand was our interactive dice demonstration powered by the u-blox ANNA-B5 Bluetooth® LE module.

Visitors were invited to roll the dice and see the result displayed in real time as motion and orientation data was transmitted wirelessly using Bluetooth® LE technology. While simple and engaging on the surface, the demonstration showcased the powerful capabilities of the ANNA-B5 series, including low-latency communication, low-power operation and embedded processing using the integrated Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor.

The demo quickly became a crowd favourite, attracting a steady stream of visitors throughout both days and producing plenty of winners in our dice challenge!

Live Demonstrations in Action

TechNexion Edge AI Demonstration

Our TechNexion demonstration brought artificial intelligence to life through a real-time object detection application.

Using an IMX95-10G Edge AI Camera and the EDM-G-Wizard System-on-Module, the system was trained to recognise and classify sweets by colour as they passed beneath the camera. Results were displayed instantly on a 10-inch display, allowing visitors to see the AI model working in real time.

The demonstration highlighted the power of Edge AI, showing how machine learning inference can be performed locally on embedded hardware without relying on cloud computing, enabling low-latency and highly responsive applications.

RAKwireless Smart Agriculture Demonstration

Our smart agriculture showcase demonstrated how IoT technologies are transforming environmental monitoring and enabling smarter farming practices.

The demonstration simulated a connected farming environment, where soil monitoring sensors collected environmental data and transmitted it wirelessly via LoRaWAN®. The data was received by the RAK7289V2 WisGate Edge Pro V2 gateway, which could also be powered using the RAK9154 Solar Battery to demonstrate a sustainable, off-grid deployment.

Visitors were able to see how an end-to-end IoT ecosystem—from sensors and gateways to data visualisation—can provide real-time insights and support better decision-making in agricultural applications.

TEKTELIC LoRaWAN Demonstration

The TEKTELIC showcase focused on end-to-end LoRaWAN solutions for cold chain monitoring and asset tracking.

Using the TUNDRA sensor, environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity were monitored in real time, while the STORK asset tracker provided visibility into the location and movement of assets. Data was transmitted through the KONA Micro Gateway and managed via the network and application layers, demonstrating a complete IoT infrastructure.

The demonstration highlighted the importance of reliable, long-range connectivity for applications in logistics, warehousing and cold chain environments.

E.E.P.D. and InHand Technologies

Alongside our live demonstrations, visitors also had the opportunity to explore technologies from E.E.P.D. and InHand Networks, providing further insight into the latest developments in embedded displays and industrial connectivity solutions.

Great Conversations and New Connections

One of the biggest successes of the exhibition was the number of valuable conversations we had throughout the event.

It was fantastic to reconnect with existing customers, meet new faces and discuss emerging technologies, future projects and the challenges facing today’s embedded and IoT developers.

The enthusiasm shown by visitors reinforced the exciting direction our industry is heading and highlighted the importance of events like Hardware Pioneers in bringing together the engineering community.
