The NEO-M9L module leverages the robust u-blox M9 GNSS chip, renowned for its exceptional sensitivity and rapid acquisition times across all L1 GNSS systems. Representing an evolution from the acclaimed u-blox M8 product line, the u-blox M9 standard precision GNSS platform ensures metre-level accuracy.
Engineered as an ultra-robust dead reckoning solution, the NEO-M9L integrates an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) for enhanced performance. This module not only outputs sensor-fused data but also provides GNSS-only positioning data concurrently. By employing advanced algorithms that fuse IMU data, GNSS measurements, wheel ticks and vehicle dynamics, the NEO-M9L delivers superior positioning accuracy, especially in scenarios where GNSS signals alone may be insufficient.
Furthermore, the NEO-M9L boasts support for concurrent reception of four GNSS constellations, enabling the receiver to optimise signal selection from a high number of visible satellites. This capability significantly enhances position accuracy, particularly in challenging environments such as deep urban canyons.
