The u-blox ANNA-B402 is an ultra-small, standalone module, measuring just 6.5 x 6.5 mm, including its integrated antenna. Boasting Bluetooth 5.1, an embedded Arm® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller with FPU, and top-notch power efficiency, it's engineered for excellence.
At its core lies the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 chip, offering 512 kB flash and 128 kB RAM, ideal for sophisticated applications developed with open CPU architecture and the Nordic SDK. Multiple wired interfaces such as UART, USB, SPI, I2C, I2S, and GPIO provide seamless peripheral device connections.
For precision location tracking, ANNA-B402 supports Bluetooth direction finding features like Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) and Angle-of-Departure (AoD), enhancing accuracy beyond mere signal strength assessment. It also extends communication range and fortifies connections through Bluetooth long range capability. Alternatively, the module supports Wirepas Mesh stack for expansive industrial mesh networks.
Beyond Bluetooth low energy, ANNA-B402 extends its versatility to include support for ZigBee and Thread protocols, as well as NFC functionalities. Facilitating seamless integration, the module comes equipped with an internal chip antenna while offering an antenna pin for external antenna use, ensuring global certification for both options. This streamlines integration efforts, saving time and costs for customers. Designed to thrive in demanding environments, the module is industrial grade and ISO 16750 qualified, withstanding temperatures from -40°C to +105°C.
