The compact LEXI-R520 IoT module (16 x 16 mm) harnesses the power of the u-blox UBX-R52 cellular chipset. Despite its diminutive form, LEXI-R520 efficiently occupies approximately 60% of the PCB space required by the SARA-R520 model, all while maintaining stellar LTE performance and precise positioning capabilities.

Positioning functionality is seamlessly integrated into the module via SpotNow, a cost-effective positioning solution embedded directly within the UBX-R52 chipset. This eliminates the need for a dedicated GNSS receiver, thus optimizing power consumption, particularly suitable for intermittent tracking scenarios. Alternatively, location estimation can be performed using LTE cell station signaling data via CellLocate, further streamlining the device's design by eliminating the necessity for a dedicated GNSS antenna.
