ZED-X20D: All-Band High Precision GNSS Heading for Advanced Applications

Accurate positioning and reliable heading determination are becoming increasingly important across modern embedded systems. The ZED-X20D integrates a full-band GNSS engine supporting all major satellite constellations including GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, NavIC and QZSS. By accessing multiple constellations and frequency bands simultaneously, the module maximises satellite availability and improves performance in challenging environments such as urban areas or obstructed locations.
For systems that require both position and orientation information, the dual-antenna architecture enables accurate heading determination without relying on vehicle motion.
Flexible High-Precision Positioning Technologies
To support a wide range of applications and accuracy requirements, the ZED-X20D incorporates several advanced positioning technologies:
- RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) for centimetre-level positioning accuracy
- PPP (Precise Point Positioning) for high accuracy without local base stations
- PPP-RTK for faster convergence and improved reliability
This flexibility allows designers to scale performance based on application requirements and available correction services.
High-Quality GNSS Data for Advanced Applications
The module also delivers exceptionally clean GNSS measurement data with minimal cycle slips and very low noise in carrier-phase and pseudo-range measurements. This ensures reliable results for applications that rely on post-processing or high-precision analytics.
Combined with the industry-proven ZED form factor, the module allows engineers to integrate high-precision positioning into existing designs while reducing development time.
