Trasna Announces End-of-Life for Select LARA Module Versions

As part of Trasna’s ongoing portfolio optimisation, they will discontinue select versions of the LARA cellular module family and replace them with enhanced, pin-compatible alternatives. These new modules offer improved performance and full firmware compatibility.
This change ensures customers benefit from the latest connectivity advancements without requiring major design changes. Moreover, all replacement modules have been engineered to provide a seamless transition path for existing integrations.
What’s Changing?
The affected modules include both LTE and multi-mode variants across the LARA-L and LARA-R series. Each discontinued version has a direct replacement that retains the same mechanical footprint and AT command set.
For example:
LARA-L6004-00B-00 → LARA-L6004-01B-00
LARA-R6801D-01B-00 → LARA-R6801-01B-00
This approach minimises rework while delivering performance gains and long-term support.
Key Transition Dates
Last order date: 31 October 2025
